Our Story

For almost 200 years our family has been in the Houston and surrounding areas taming the wild lands of Texas. During the height of the cowboy era in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, we thrived in the local cattle markets, naming cities like Sealy and Willis after our trailblazing family.

Our great-great-grandmother built the mansion in Galveston (now known as the Moody mansion). Then her daughter, our great-grandmother, moved to Montgomery to marry the love of her life, a cowboy named Stump Martin. They built a beautiful estate the family called “The Big House” which boasted a Grand Hall to entertain guests and dignitaries far and wide.

Over the past 100 years, a lot of things have changed but our roots still run deep in Montgomery, Texas.

To honor our proud Texas heritage, we built the Grand Hall capturing the grandeur of an era gone by. Over 20 vintage chandeliers, reclaimed shiplap, decorative tin and stone fireplace channeling old world charm, while providing a hint of modern Texas spirit.
